The main types of cancer are:

• Carcinoma: Tthis cancer begins in the skin or in tissues that line or cover internal organs.
• Sarcoma: This cancer begins in the connective or supportive tissues such as bone, cartilage, fat, muscle or blood vessels.
• Leukaemia: This is cancer of the white blood cells.
• Lymphoma:  This cancer can affect all those areas as well as other organs throughout the body includes the lymph nodes (lymph glands), spleen, thymus gland and bone marrow.
